SUMMARY ROLE_:_ HELPDESK MANAGER
Westport Properties continues to grow, and we are seeking a Helpdesk Manager with strong leadership qualities in addition to knowledge of computer hardware and software and professional writing. The Helpdesk Manager will have the ability to work closely with employees, management, and IT vendors. A strong knowledge of trouble shooting computers and how they operate, which includes having a broad understanding of hardware and software, operating systems and basic computer programs is a must for this position. This role is expected to be a proactive self-starter with a positive, attitude to embrace the Collaborative Team Culture environment. This position requires excellent analytical and organizational skills to assist the IT Department and Company propel with upward momentum of growth and expansion on a national, multi-state level.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide leadership to the IT Desk Top Support team as it pertains to all levels of contact within the organization
Support the diagnosing and troubleshooting of technical problems, computer processing systems, installation of software and testing on computer equipment and programs.
Maintains information technology strategies & protocols.
Drafting general IT procedure manuals (i.e. tutorials, how-to-guides)
Small percentage of travel may be required depending on project assignment.
Regular worksite attendance in accordance with Company’s Attendance Policy is required for this position.
Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
Accomplishes information technology staff results.
Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
Plans, monitors, and appraises job results.
Other Duties as Assigned
Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements.
Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines.
