    THE TEAM   

    Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our 59 Chapters around the country. The Finance Team is focused on supporting our chapters through a shared financial services model, providing chapters with financial processing, reporting, and tax filings. They also maintain the financial health of the national office through budgeting, monthly reporting, accounting, reconciliations, and payables.   

      

    THE ROLE   

    The NetSuite Product Owner is a key contributor to our mission. As a member of the Shared Financial Services team, the primary responsibility for this role is to optimize the NetSuite platform across the organization. This work will require maintaining core system operations, while providing continuous innovations and solutions to launch new platform features to serve end users.  

      

    WHERE YOU COME IN   

    As the NetSuite Product Owner at Make-A-Wish America you will:   

    • Partner with stakeholders and users, across the enterprise, to ensure compliance, update features, utilize strategy, and determine prioritization.
    • Serve as decision maker and leader for finance systems related to existing and future integrations.
    • Work cross-functionally to determine long-term IT infrastructure strategy and roadmap to create vision for product development.
    • Identify and mitigate associated product level risks and communicate changes to product stakeholders.
    • Actively participate in all aspects of sprint planning and execution.
    • Maintain functional level understanding of all enterprise and cross system governance policies and procedures.
    • Determine, document, and communicate training needs, system governance, policies, and procedures.
    • Facilitate the development and delivery of training and manuals.
    • Support the team and leadership with key projects and initiatives.

     

       

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED   

    • Demonstrated expertise with NetSuite and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
    • Recent examples of system optimization success, with customer service focus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
    • 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or in a non-profit environment
    • Learning agility and aptitude to tackle challenges with optimism
    • Knowledge of financial accounting, accounts payable and/or revenue processing
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills to network with team members, chapters, and other departments within the organization
    • Excellent organizational skills, with strong ability to plan, prioritize, and multi-task
    • Excellent knowledge of internal and management control systems
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of trust and confidentiality and possess strong business ethics
