Servtech Inc., a Roeslein company, is a manufacturer of industrial prefabricated Edge Data Centers, Power Distribution Centers, E Houses, Pumping stations, metering stations, custom variable speed drive panels, PLC Panels, Motor Control Centers, and other custom engineered products. We integrate these components into a finished system that is tested at our own facility and made ready for our client’s specific needs.

Our markets include Bio-Gas, Alternative Energy, Mission Critical (Data Centers), Mining, Pollution Control, Oil and Gas, and other industrial applications.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Servtech, a Roeslein company is looking for an experienced, skilled, industrial painter to paint our manufactured products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Paint structural steel, pipe, valves, and other component parts used for our industrial manufactured products
• Prepare paint and ensure proper mixing for customer requirements
• Responsible for painting mil thickness according to company procedure
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning paint guns and equipment
• Regular attendance in accordance with our attendance policy
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with Servtech’s established safety and company requirements.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to effectively perform the position of Paint Prepper on the floor at any point in time.
  • Prep materials by high-pressure wash or blast materials
  • Load and unload paint booth with materials
  • Stage materials for curing
• Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance
• Responsible for area housekeeping
• Participate in the process of continuous improvement including efforts to meet company deadlines and goals
• Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in an office and in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as:  dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. Must be able to travel to job sites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

This position requires the ability to wear a full-face respirator and air supplied hood. A medical respirator clearance and pulmonary function test must be obtained, and a valid fit test performed with positive results. A protective suit is required to be worn.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.   While performing the duties of this position, the employee will, regularly, be required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear, and work in a consistent state of alertness and in a safe manner.  The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required.

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of industrial painting experience is strongly preferred
• Must be able to use and read a wet and dry mil gauge
• Strong problem-solving skills are required
• High level of energy and motivation
• Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, some overtime
• Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment
