INTERN I - WATER RESOURCES - ENGLEWOOD, CO

WESTWOOD PROFESSIONAL SERVICES, INC. is seeking a Intern I to join our team in our Englewood, CO office. This position is for an entry-level professional who will be involved in assignments that continue to develop abilities in land development water resources design. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Project research, site visits, observation and preliminary design calculations • Take personal responsibility for quality of tasks performed • Uses CAD to prepare and check working drawings, details, layouts and estimates • Performs analysis and design for stormwater components of land development projects • Assist in the preparation of exhibits, plot plans, lot fits or other similar tasks by discipline • Assist in the preparation of technical documents, such as Master Drainage Reports
Required Skills
• Demonstrates willingness to accept new challenges and learn specialized field • Growing knowledge of profession as demonstrated by involvement in related professional organizations and professional development programs • Basic knowledge of the firm’s policies, practices and procedures • Basic knowledge of software required for position • Good organizational skills • Able to follow general directions and work with limited independence on basic computations
