    Are you a dynamic and energetic culinary professional capable of leading a team and providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience? Our popular restaurant seeks a skilled executive chef who can create innovative menus and dishes, order and manage inventory, monitor and prevent food waste, and ensure health and safety requirements are followed. We are located in Boothbay Harbor, Maine right on the water with a gorgeous view and the best sunset in town. We are looking to fulfill the need for high-end food in the area with a consistent production We need an experienced cook who is comfortable with a variety of cooking techniques such as poaching, braising, roasting, charbroiling, sautéing, grilling, frying, and baking. Our ideal applicant is a team player who can successfully communicate with other kitchen staff to keep our restaurant running efficiently. We are looking for someone ASAP! We have housing ONSITE! Responsibilities: • Grill, broil or saute menu items according to standard recipes and presentation specifications • Assemble a system of food stations and fill them with everything they need for the shift • Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules • Recognize and adhere to quality requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as correct storage and waste management • Demonstrate professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates Qualifications: • Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage • Must be a hard worker with high attention to detail and have a strong work ethic • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate • Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired Compensation: $1,200 - $2,000 biweekly
