    We are a family-owned business in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Our restaurant is attached to a seasonal marina that caters to yachts that travel up and down the Maine coast. We are looking for someone who can produce and execute a high-quality menu for our high-profile clients. There are no high-end restaurants in the area and this need must be fulfilled. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic. We will only be serving dinner (3:30 pm - 9:00 pm) Wednesday through Sunday. We do have employee housing ON SITE! Looking for someone to start ASAP! Looking for a friendly and courteous professional dedicated to providing guests with an exceptional dining experience. We need someone with a positive attitude toward customer service and a warm smile to set the tone for our guests to enjoy their dining experience with us. You will serve our guests at the restaurant by ensuring they are seated promptly, their orders are taken, prepared, and served on time, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next guests. Responsibilities: • Greet customers, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve orders promptly, and accommodate any special needs or requests • Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities • Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant • Accept correct payment from guests and guarantee the accuracy of the guest check and manner of payment to protect both the client and the business from any transaction mistakes • Establish a full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to respond to client inquiries and make recommendations Qualifications: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members • This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service • Prior food service industry experience is highly desired • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED) • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills Compensation: $6 - $9 hourly
