Human Resources Manager Construction
Job Description
We are seeking a Human Resources Construction Manager to become a part of team! You will be responsible for managing HR activities for the organization.
Prefer local candidate that lives near our office location
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for delivering core HR services, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruiting and staffing (job approval and guidance), employee development, performance management and adherence to employment laws. Acts as a liaison and advisor to upper management. Position also oversees and manages functions and programs such as job descriptions development, employee recognition, HR websites, and service awards.
Responsibilities:
• Recommend, amend and drive improvement to human resources systems, policies and processes by continuing to stay abreast of the marketplace to identify and leverage best practices/trends to influence the business and HR agenda
• Work actively with various third parties to ensure compliance with all elements of benefits, insurance and company HR related requirements
• Supports the company’s future growth and ensures employees receive training and development opportunities.
• Maintains all employee files in compliance with Company. Works with management to motivate employees and identifies organizational performance improvements, guidelines and local regulations
• Provides coaching and counseling on issues related to employee relations; including providing guidance around fair and legal resolutions, preparation of corrective action documents, performance management, investigations, and terminations
• Monitors work related injuries as well as fleet accidents
• Updates Company Handbook
• Conducts interview guidelines
• Willingness to assist in various departments when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources
• In-depth knowledge of employment laws and governmental regulations
• Decision making skills
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to interact at all levels
• Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills
• Prior HR experience preferred
• Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
• Self-starter to immediately improve onboarding processes
