White Way Cleaners is seeking a Route Service Driver to maintain business for our 98 year-old company. As a Route Service Driver, you will provide route service to a set customer base, through the pick-up and delivery of Dry Cleaning and laundry. Daily duties involve carrying and walking clean laundry into and soiled products out of customer accounts. Our Route Service Drivers are the crux of our commitment to provide a personal touch in our service to each customer. By responding to customer inquiries and requests, as well as pro-active problem solving, you will represent the White Way Cleaners team on a daily basis.

The Route Service Driver must effectively respond to the customer’s needs and also introduce promotions to customers. The Route Service Representative will consistently maintain and represent a professional image of White Way Dry Cleaning through excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.

White Way Cleaners, headquartered in Wallingford, Connecticut, is the only family-owned and operated dry cleaning, industrial laundry, and uniform service in the area. With three retail outlets and a state-of-the-art plant, White Way is one of the largest dry cleaners in Connecticut. We need our Route Representatives to have the fearless drive and motivation that will keep our company thriving.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Engaging in 3 weeks of training
• Driving a company owned van to deliver Dry cleaning and laundry to customer’s place of work or homes.
• Picking up dirty dry cleaning and delivering clean dry cleaning
• Develops and maintains the customer's goodwill by daily interactions by taking a keen interest in our customer's needs and developing a strong rapport
• Make our customers aware of our services such as our Seamstress
• Solicit new customers that are in the area you are servicing that day.
• Follow up with customers you previously solicited
• Hand out flyers with our current promotion to existing customers and update the flyer on top of drop boxes in your current business
• No smoking or tobacco use permitted on the job

Requirements

The right candidate for this job will have a background which includes:

• High School degree or equivalent required
• Outgoing, engaging personality
• Clean drug test and driving record
• Organized with strong communication skills
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment
• Self-starter with ability to manage time and meet deadlines
