  • Responsibilities

    The key role is to achieve significant long term sales growth and customer satisfaction at assigned accounts in the Automotive OE and Tier level. This position is responsible for all sales and new business development activities at assigned accounts. Responsible for achieving sales and share growth at customer, developing sustaining relationships with key buying influences, as well as, meeting or exceeding goals set by the Sales Manager.

    • Manage and develop the overall customer relationship with assigned accounts.
    • Work as primary contact for assigned account(s), including engineering, purchasing, quality, manufacturing and other areas. Coordinate involvement of other team members as needed.
    • Develop long term, strategic relationships with key buying influences at assigned accounts.
    • Achieve sales and market share growth at customer to meet or exceed goal set by the Sales Manager.
    • Be results driven with a customer focus through the development and maintenance of lasting customer relationships, meeting or exceeding the customer expectations, while ensuring profitable business for the company.
    • Performance of other duties as assigned or required.

    Required Skills

    • Excellent verbal and communication skills; meeting facilitation, and presentation skills.
    • Good negotiating skills.

    Required Experience

    • Ten (10) years of technical product sales experience preferred; minimum (3) years OEM sales experience.
    • Two (2) years of strategic account management experience preferred.
    • Experience working with Domestic OEM purchasing systems is strongly preferred.
    • In-depth knowledge of plastic injection and blow molding applications, preferably HVAC ducts, washer bottles, and pressure tanks desired.
    • Understanding or working knowledge of product development process.
    • Four year business or technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
