  • Responsibilities

    RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Overseeing the daily operation of an enterprise-level data center.
    • Calculating metrics to analyze the performance of the data center technical staff.
    • Efficiency improvements, process creating and improvement, and daily operational integrity.
    • Prepare and present quarterly objectives and results to the management staff
    • Mentoring and educating the team
    • Successfully manage multiple projects relating to data center operations from planning to execution
    • Monitor the performance of and develop strong business relationship with vendors, carriers, and other outside agencies that interact with the data center
    • Work closely with local facility engineering staff to ensure all infrastructure systems are operating within established tolerances, proactively maintained, and adequately serviced when necessary

     

    Required Skills Required Experience

     REQUIREMENTS

     

    • Knowledge of computer networking concepts
    • Knowledge of hardware concepts and component installation
    • Knowledge of Windows and Linux configuration and troubleshooting
    • Effective time management skills
    • Customer focused attitude with some previous customer service experience.

     

    PREFERRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

     

    • Intermediate knowledge of various internet-related services and software (mail, web, domain servers (DNS), etc.
    • Experience in the information technology/networking/web hosting field(s)
    • Certifications a plus: Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Red Hat
    • Certified Technician (RHCT), Linux+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.

     

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

     

    • High School Diploma/Degree
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 5- 10 years of relevant work experience in a production environment OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
    • Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems.
    • Must be able consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions.
    • Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions.
    • Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those who need to know of decisions/actions/problems.
    • Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
    • Must possess excellent skills within the Adobe Suite of tools
    • Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Mac, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
    • Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments.
    • Able to explain and guide programs policies and procedures in a way that is understood by others.
