    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    Responsible for providing program support in the Addiction Treatment Program. General duties involve assisting staff with direct client care, preparing and serving client meals, maintaining and stocking kitchen and linen supplies; assists with answering telephone calls and greeting clients, visitors, public.

    LOCATION: 3002 GRAND AVE, WAUKEGAN, IL 

    HOURS: PART-TIME 2 DAYS A WEEK (9:30AM-6:00PM)

    • FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
    • SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

    FLSA STATUS: HOURLY

     

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Assist the staff in direct client care, and admission process.
    • Communicates any unusual behavior or change in client status to staff.
    • Inspects and cleans client rooms after client transfer/discharge.
    • Maintains client common areas for cleanliness and orderliness.
    • Follows basic food safety principles when preparing, handling and serving client meals.
    • Assures delivered meals are date labeled and maintained at correct safe temperature until served.
    • Documents and maintains the daily temperature log of kitchen equipment (refrigerators/freezer).
    • Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen and great room area.
    • Monitors, inventories and restocks routine food items, linen and/or other supplies as needed.
    • Transports clients off grounds to appointments for LCHD lab work or external appointments.
    • Check in visitors, monitoring client visits with family / loved ones, as well as serving as staff on duty for  client needs. 
    • Answers telephone inquiries, providing information or routing calls to appropriate staff.
    • JOB SKILL ASSESSMENT(S) MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE.

     

     

    EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND CERTIFICATION:

    • With a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate, one-year experience in direct patient care preferred, and
    • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

    Required Skills Required Experience

  • Qualifications
    • Requires a bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 8-10 years of relevant work experience OR a demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
    • Prefer 5 to 10 years experience in retail marketing to include a thorough understanding of Point of Purchase visual collateral and associated materials used in a retail environment, preferably on a National brand.
    • Must possess in-depth knowledge of various print methods, substrates, and concept engineering used in retail marketing and the ability to evaluate supplier performance.  Also, knowledge of display structural engineering and display manufacturing processes for corrugate, wire/metal, wood, thermoform, acrylic and other plastics.
    • Experience in promotional signage installation is preferred.
    • Must demonstrate strong project management, relationship-building, and communication skills, to include the ability to communicate and interact with a variety of external Clients and internal personnel at the level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity, stating messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand.  Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.  Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.
    • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to solve somewhat more complex tasks or problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job, and be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
    • Must be able to demonstrate and apply strong functional computer knowledge (expertise) in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
    • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and travel when required.
