  • Responsibilities

    Looking for a highly motivated critical thinker with an analytical approach to Supply Chain processes who is team orientated and focuses on continuous improvement.

    The Senior Buyer will perform the standard supply chain responsibilities listed below:

     

    • Support Flambeau’s multi-plant manufacturing operations by maintaining continuity of supply for components and materials needed to meet production demand.
    • Procurement of MRO goods and services.
    • Evaluate, qualify, and audit suppliers.
    • Identification of sources for raw materials and issuance of RFQ’s and PO’s.
    • Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions for contracts with suppliers.
    • Resolve issues with suppliers related to, but not limited to, Quality, Delivery, and Commercial performance.
    • Preparation and execution of annual Commodity Plans to improve company earnings and working capital.
    • Obtain value for Flambeau through the advancement of supplier relationships, negotiations and supplier performance improvements.
    • Lead or manage projects as assigned by Corporate Supply Chain management.
    • Incorporate timely project and task management, and maintain proficient record keeping in all assigned responsibilities.
    • Support cross-functional Continuous Improvement teams and APQP teams.
    • Improve Flambeau’s Supply Chain department with analytics and best practices that will help fulfill its supply chain strategy. 
    • Lead by example and teach other supply chain personnel with experiences that advance the supply chain function at Flambeau.
    • Improve, develop, and document new and improved supply chain processes for Flambeau.
    • Ensure the protection of confidential information.
    • Uphold Flambeau’s integrity in the market place through professional supplier relations.

     

    Required Skills

    • Strong working knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems, and proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant social media platforms.
    • Comprehensive understanding of global supply chain management and logistics
    • CPSM or CPIM certification preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, may require some travel to various company locations, and suppliers.

     

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred 

    •  7-10 years Supply Chain related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Manufacturing Supply Chain experience at the OEM, Tier 1, 2, or 3 levels strongly preferred.

    • IATF 16949, ISO, CSR, and regulatory compliance experience.

     

  • Qualifications
