    Job Description

    Education association seeks a long-term, temporary Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Executive Director, President, Executive Committee, and Council. The position will report directly to the Executive Director and will be a hybrid role, working remotely and at their Washington, DC office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate multiple annually scheduled board meetings including preparing notices, agendas, informational materials, as well as taking minutes and writing summary reports
    • Orientate new council and board members and coordinate new member orientation
    • Manage Executive Director’s and President’s schedule and calendar
    • Review and process executive travel reimbursement requests
    • Maintain organizational policy files and records and assist executive team to ensure adherence to these policies
    • Facilitate the senior program officer reappointment review process
    • Provide board minutes and contact lists for annual audit and legal compliance procedures
    • Organize internal staff meetings and events including conference calls
    • Other administrative duties, including special projects, as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Keen eye for detail including experience proofreading and formatting documents

    Requirements:

    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in administrative work required.
    • Experience working in an association or similar setting preferred.
