Whit's Frozen Custard is opening in Knoxville. We offer a fun environment with flexible schedules, tips, employee discounts and of course free custard while working. We are seeking individuals who are outgoing, personable, hardworking, and passionate about frozen custard. Whit's Frozen Custard team members should be kind and team players. They are the type of person who keeps busy during their shift and goes above and beyond for customers. We are looking to fill several Team Member positions. Team Members must be able to demonstrate they can create a friendly, welcoming environment while accurately answering questions about our products & flavors. You must be able to ensure all customers leave the store happy and satisfied with their Whit's experience, by making customer orders quickly and correctly and helping us maintain a clean store. We are looking for staff members who have a positive attitude and the ability to actively engage with our guests, while working in a fast-paced environment. If you would like to help us serve our customers in a great atmosphere and are at least 16 years old, we invite you to apply. Tips are an added $4.00 to $6.00 average an hour! Duties/Responsibilities: * Provides outstanding customer service, making each customer feel welcome and like family. * Accurately describes menu items to customers. * Cashier / processing customer payments using the proper buttons, including discounts, and upcharges when applicable. * Prepares and serves frozen custard desserts; correctly customizes orders as requested. * Makes frozen custard cakes, dips cones, and makes our whittie cookie sandwiches. * Ensures that stations are properly stocked. * Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas. * Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas. * Stocks retail products: ensures that merchandise displays look how they should. * Assist with receiving orders and getting them put away properly. * Performs other duties as assigned. * Ensures that their assigned tasks according to the provided task checklist are done at the end of each shift. * Shows up to all scheduled shifts in uniform and on time. Required Skills/Abilities: * Able to have a positive, outgoing attitude at work. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices. * Ability to multitask. * Good memory to recall faces, names, and preferences of regular customers. * Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. * Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. * Must be able to work on your feet for the duration of your shift.
