We are hiring for our Knoxville, Tn location as well as potential Hybrid home office set ups across the country.
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for achieving customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives by generating interest, qualifying prospects and executing trades of Wholesale Lumber to the end user.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Facilitates the purchase and sales of wholesale lumber direct to customers. Performs customer interaction by making outgoing calls and receiving incoming customer calls/emails daily.
• Start to develop customer relationships by prospecting, cold calling and networking
• Sources new sales opportunities through inbound and outbound prospecting calls and emails.
• Understands accounts, identifies key players and generates interest.
• Generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts, strengthens mill footprint and growth.
• Gains and retains extensive product knowledge as well as detailed comprehension of customer requirements.
• Executes timely and accurate trades based on market data, movement and prices.
• Provides competitive market intelligence and insights to prospects and customers.
• Fields customer support calls, following up on matters such as deliveries, claims, returns and other customer requests.
• Maintain and review sales and profit goals on a regular basis
• Provides management with suggestions that will improve our company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• MUST have 2+ years’ experience in Brokering Lumber sales.
• MUST have your own source for clients and a history of closing sales of lumber.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work closely with peers on team orientated goals.
