POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the VP of People & Organizational Development, the Human Resources Generalist works in close collaboration with the Human Resources team and company business leaders to implement Human Resources related projects and initiatives. This role has a significant focus on payroll and onboarding and will also provide insight and solutions that add value to the company’s strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage onboarding new employees and processing employee information changes.
- Support the day-to-day payroll changes, benefit questions, employee record collection for all new employees as needed throughout the year.
- Enter and track HR scorecarding data.
- Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
- Review and ensure accuracy of driver and temp labor timecards on a weekly basis
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resource files, records, and documentation
- Answer frequently asked questions from employees and applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Employee appreciation and event planning coordination.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of Human Resource files and records
- Perform periodic audits of Human Resources files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to leave, employee relations, payroll, and benefits, while mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance globally
- Assist VP of People & Organizational Development on additional projects both big and small
QUALIFICATION:
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience
- Associate degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to manage various open positions simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, with an ability to function and succeed in a collaborative environment.
- General knowledge of HR principles and practices, rules, regulations, trends, and developments.

- Experience providing support to employees on various HR related topics.
- Strong creative critical thinking skills with the ability to develop and recommend practical solutions.

- General understanding employment laws.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Hands-on experience with payroll and benefits, currently on ADP.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certification a plus
- Possess fluent bilingual language skills a plus
