    Job Description

    As Hospitality Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving group and corporate bookings from local customers at our metro D.C. properties, building a book of business of repeat corporate customers across your portfolio which currently includes two properties in D.C. and one in Northern Virginia. In this role, you will seek to change corporate travelers' perception of an alternative stay by making WhyHotel the go-to, gold-standard accommodation of choice and new industry leader. 

    • Develop and execute a local strategic plan to drive corporate business for our DC metro area hotels, approved by the Senior Director of Sales. 
    • Meet or exceed monthly KPIs for new bookings, continually adapting and refining your strategic approach based on real time feedback. 
    • Generate leads through targeted campaigns via phone, in-person meetings, and social media channels for prospective and existing clients. 
    • Network and participate in local professional organizations within key industries specific to assigned region and verticals. 
    • Tour prospective decision makers through our properties, as necessary. 
    • Regularly review monthly sales goals and revenue numbers, working with the Senior Director of Sales to achieve established targets. 
    • Be responsible for 20-30% of direct bookings into our DC and Northern VA properties. 
    • Coordinate and assist in general sales activities, including trade shows, advertising, public relations, and others as directed.

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • You have a bachelor’s degree and/or 3-5 years of selling experience within the Hospitality space; some experience in the corporate housing or extended stay hotel markets is strongly preferred. 
    • You have experience using Hubspot as a CRM tool and ZoomInfo, is a bonus. 
    • You are knowledgeable about the travel and/or relocation industry, current market trends and economic factors.
    • You have excellent communication skills and can relate to all types of customers;  familiarity with organizations such as ERC, GBTA and SHRM is a plus. 
    • You love building relationships and are motivated by goal-setting.
