Created to bring convenience, simplicity and customization to your experience, Whym takes what you enjoy most about online and offline shopping and combines them. Engage in a text conversation with a Whym team member in real-time to ask questions, get suggestions, and add products from our boutique lookbook to your cart with a hashtag. 

Founded by a dynamic female duo, Whym makes getting the things consumers love, easy. We've curated a list of unique products by sorting through hundreds of “instabrands” - niche companies that have less than 30K followers - that offer high quality and easily replenish-able goods. Each brand value proposition is focused on things that matter most to the modern woman. WHO ARE YOU:

The best fit for this internship is a college Junior, Senior or MBA student interesting in BLOGGING AND PODCASTING who is majoring in some combination of the following: marketing, advertising, social media, copywriting, digital media, business and/or entrepreneurship.

Must be Los Angeles-based and eligible to receive college credit—no exceptions.

Together we're a team that creates a world class customer experiences, challenges the norm, builds groundbreaking new categories and has a great time doing it.  You'll be working hand in hand with the founders to build the Whym & Petalfox brands.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

• BLOGGING
  • Ideate and develop proposals for new and relevant brand content 
  • Research blog topics
  • Blog writing and editing
  • Light graphics editing (we'll teach you how!)
  • Updating content on the website
• PODCAST
  • Plan and prepare for podcast production
  • Assist the podcast team with appropriate show research
  • Assist with podcast episode outlines
  • Write and distribute pitch emails
  • Coordinate with hosts, guests, and the team
  • Help create marketing / social media announcements (soundbites, video shorts, transcripts...)
  • Have the opportunity to assist with video production (prep, production, and editing)
  • Manage audio backup file system
• ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES
  • Deliver Daily/weekly/monthly reporting 
  • Support team with and perform a variety of administrative tasks
  • Assist with other projects as needed

INTERN PROJECTS

As part of your internship you will have the chance to come up with a project with the Whym team that both interests you and will be impactful to the Whym brand.  Throughout your internship you will research, develop and execute against the idea.  At the conclusion of the semester you will present your findings to the team. COMMITMENT:

• These are unpaid semester internships that require a 15-20 hr/week commitment.
