    WHO ARE WE:

    We're building a modern commerce suite for messaging. An all-in-one solution that allows our brands to talk and transact with their customers in the same place.

    Whym is a first-to-market commerce solution that converts a merchant's customer inside of any messaging (or social) platform where they may meet. We are live and in market today with our first self-service solution and we are funded and ready to build the next major stage of our solution.     WHO ARE YOU:

    The best fit for this internship is a college Senior or MBA student majoring in some combination of the following: computer Science or web development experience. You're interested in start-ups, software, and technology.

    This is a unique opportunity to develop a testing strategy from the ground up that is customized and optimized for the company.  You will have the chance to coordinate and execute all aspects of testing efforts from project inception. You must be a self starter and confident that you can develop and lead the process.  

    Must be eligible to receive college credit—no exceptions.  Open to a remote employee - our team is currently WFH.

    WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:

    • Develop internal QA process and strategy plan
    • Executing on all web-based and desktop application-based products
    • Executing and help develop automated test cases
    • Identifying issues and generating issue reports
    • Reproducing customer-reported issues
    • Document results of tests for the software development team
    • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
    • Assisting developers with issue analysis
    • Developing automated test scripts
    • Actively participating in test case design and script maintenance
    • Verification of patches and bug fixes
    • Interfacing closely with programmers and other QA engineers

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous software quality assurance experience required
    • An understanding of web-delivered applications
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other web development languages
    • Familiarity with multiple web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.)
    • Experience with Google docs
    • Experience with GitLab
    • Experience working in a SAAS company is a plus
    • Software development experience is a plus

    COMMITMENT:

    • These are unpaid semester internships that require a 15-20 hr/week commitment.

    Potential for this role to turn into a paid position in the future.
