Able Seaman Required Qualifications:

• Must possess an Able Seaman Endorsement 200grt or greater,
• STCW Complaint, OC Endorsements are preferred but not required in all circumstances
• A valid USCG - 719K Medical Certificate
• A valid Passport (preferred but not required)
• A valid TWIC Card

Duties:

• Exercise Safe practices at all times
• Understand and perform proper “Lookout” duties
• Assist the Master and Mates as requested
• Assist with proper maintenance of deck equipment
• Assist with proper maintenance of firefighting and lifesaving equipment
• Apply conservative and appropriate language during professional conversation
• Assist as requested with vessel inspections and inventory
