    The Department of Defense (DOD) Reintegration Program was mandated by Public Law 110-181, Section 582, of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for fiscal year 2008. As a result, the Armed Forces are required to provide a national veteran reintegration program that offers information, referral services, and practical, pre-emptive outreach opportunities to Service and Family members throughout the deployment cycle. The Navy Reserve Reintegration Program ) hosts both pre and post deployment events for service members and their family members/support system in an effort to support their overall health and well-being throughout the deployment cycle. The primary purpose of the Reintegration Program Specialist is to plan and coordinate events at the regional level, execute these events, and perform required pre and post event duties and manage the regional Navy Reserve Reintegration

    Program.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The primary job duties and responsibilities include:

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will manage registration and event attendance for all registrants in the Event PLUS database.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will coordinate with the Reserve Component Command (RCC) Training Department regarding travel orders and issues for event attendees.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will support, advise, coordinate, and work with the on-site government POC in the planning and execution of all regional pre and post deployment events.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on the regional YR program and will provide recommendations to senior leadership, share best practices, lessons learned and training to new team members as required/requested.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will coordinate with Military friendly support agencies, services, organizations, commands, and speakers in support of events.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will work with the on-site government POC to complete event agenda’s and estimated budgets and the After Action Report (AAR) and Actual Expenditure Report (AER) for each Event.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will complete several reoccurring reports, to include Monthly Reintegration Program Specialist report, Travel Authorization Report,

    • Travel Expenditure Report, Reintegration Program Specialist Trip Report

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will attend all Events in Area of Responsibility (AOR) and execute event with on-site government POC.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will attend annual off-site trainings, Program

    Manager Meetings and HQ level meetings and trainings as required.

    • The Reintegration Program Specialist will report directly to the contract Reintegration Program Manager

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualifications include:

    • Event Planning and execution
    • Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
    • Event Plus (training will be provided for this system)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to interact with all levels of professionals
    • Organized and attentive to detail
    • Strong Initiative/Self-starter
    • Knowledge of military protocols is preferred
    • Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain secret clearance
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Up-to-date COVID19 Vaccinations
    • Must comply with all DOD regulations

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    This job requires working at a military base. The Reintegration Program Specialist works closely with the U.S. Navy Reserves’ designated Warrior Family Support Specialist in all facets of the Reintegration Program.

    This job requires approximately 30% travel. Travel for each event is 4 days (Thursday-Sunday), since events are conducted over weekends. Events vary per region, but there are 6-10 events per year. The Reintegration Program Specialist is required to attend all regional events in-person. Note that this is an in-person role and not a telework position.
