    The Room Care Manager is responsible for efficient operations of the entire housekeeping department; this includes managing the entire housekeeping staff, attaining budget figures on labor as well as expenses and providing coaching, counseling and training.

    What you will be doing

    Determine vendors who will provide the best product available with financial consideration.

    Order all cleaning materials and maintain budget.

    Manage administrative duties, including payroll and operating expenses.

    Meet room goals to ensure all rooms are cleaned in the appropriate amount of time.

    Establish scheduling and planning daily work assignments in accordance with budget guidelines.

    Conduct regular inspections of guests room and provide feedback and additional training to staff.

    Coordinate with the Front Office to ensure hotel is achieving high levels of guest satisfaction.

    Responsible for the overseeing of the entire staffing process for all positions in the department; this includes interviewing, training and evaluating job performance.

    Interact with all employees in the Housekeeping & Laundry Department and evaluate, train, coach, counsel, and provide leadership support.

    Ensure housekeeping staff have the proper tools to do their jobs, and that training has been provided to ensure that they are used properly and are in proper working order.

    Provide assistance and partner with the property's Engineering team to ensure the asset is well maintained and impeccable.

    Demonstrate effective leadership.

    Perform all performance evaluations.

    Requirements

    High school education or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    A minimum of two years of previous experience in a housekeeping supervisor role.

    Must possess a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry and guest satisfaction

    Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

    Must be able to stand for most of the shift. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.

    Able to supervise large staff and accomplish goals on a timely basis.

    Able to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy and collect accurate information to resolve conflicts.

    Must be able to participate in the hotel’s MOD program.
