Critter Control of San Jose is seeking a Wildlife Control Technician to help solve wildlife and rodent problems for homeowners and businesses across Silicon Valley. You'll conduct property inspections, implement wildlife management strategies, and provide expert solutions in a dynamic outdoor environment.
This is a hands-on role combining technical skill, problem-solving, and customer service excellence. You'll work independently while being part of a supportive team, developing specialized skills and earning industry certifications. Inspect properties and identify wildlife or rodent entry points
Implement exclusion, trapping, and prevention solutions
Educate customers and present service options
Safely use ladders, power tools, and safety equipment
Maintain detailed service records and route schedules
Valid CA driver's license, clean record ( NO DUIs ever )
Pass drug screening, background check, and employment physical
Medically cleared for respirator use
Lift 50+ lbs; work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces, roofs)
Comfortable working at heights with ladders and safety gear
Strong communication and customer service skills
Familiar with San Jose and surrounding areas
Obtain CA Dept. of Fish & Wildlife Trapping Certification within 90 days
Complete safety training and maintain Cal/OSHA compliance
Manage daily route planning and customer scheduling
Maintain accurate documentation standards
Pest control, wildlife control, construction, or handyman experience
1+ years of field experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Schedule: Monday–Friday with optional overtime
Pay: $23–$26/hour + commission-based sales bonuses
