GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Wilen is driven by industry-leading agency services and cutting-edge direct mail production. We provide strategic direct marketing solutions for national brands, leveraging innovative variable data technology, to turn concepts into finished digital and physical products, all in one seamless process.
The primary function of this Data Engineer is to assist in the planning, designing and development of critical internal business reports and processes for the accounting and finance department. Your role will involve understanding business needs, gathering requirements, and crafting comprehensive reports that provide actionable insights to various stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support the accounting and finance department’s reporting and analysis needs
· Create and maintain SSRS and some Crystal Reports
· Create, modify and optimize complex queries and reports (including graphical data presentations) to accommodate user requirements
· Provide end-user support and training
· Create and maintain documentation of data collections, reports and applications
· Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity across report outputs
· Monitor, troubleshoot and refine automated process to ensure timeliness and accuracy
· Additional projects and tasks as requested and assigned by the department
· Travel as required for meetings and trainings
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
· Minimum 5 years experience with advanced SQL and SSRS
· Hands-on experience with MSSQL 2017-2022
· Hands-on experience with Crystal Reports 2012 or newer
· Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams
· Strong critical thinking and project management skills
· Proven ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines
· Database administration knowledge a plus
