Position Purpose

Mechanic III performs or assist in performing maintenance and repair programs including P.M. involving tools, machines, electrical/mechanical devices, electrical distribution, H.V.A.C., motors, generators, refrigeration, etc. Mechanic III reports directly to the Supervisor of Engineering.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Two (2) to three (3) years formal concentrated study (Associates Degree or equivalent plus or one (1) year HVAC, plumbing, electrical, welding, etc. required

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Technical expertise, manual dexterity, mechanical ability; ability to react to crises and emergency situations, sound judgment/independent thinking, comprehend blueprints; work initiative; accuracy of material and supply orders; creativity to make temporary repairs and fabrication of parts when necessary.

Licenses/Certificates:

Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.
