Position Purpose

Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician

Position Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology, either hospital based or college degree program, with advanced training and certification in Ultrasonography, and/or graduate of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography required.

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Competency in components of sonography practice as appropriate. Technical expertise, knowledge of anatomy; safety conscious, manual dexterity, clerical accuracy, verbal ability, communication skills.

Licenses/Certificates:

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Additional registry as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) required

BLS required

This position does require evenings, weekends, and holiday rotations.
