    Willdan is seeking a TECHNOLOGY SERVICE SPECIALIST with key responsibilities in Training,  Software Launch, and Support.  This is an integral position and demands a highly collaborative approach, positive work ethic and attitude, as well as a high level of commitment.     TECHNOLOGY SERVICE SPECIALIST

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Training -   The Technology Service Specialist will develop training material (videos, manuals, user release notes) and conduct on-site / remote training on Willdan’s technology products.  The role is responsible for delivering classes in energy assessments, sales and service tools companywide and to our external contract vendors .   The ideal candidate should be an expert with technology and have experience leading courses in a corporate environment.

    Software Launch - The Sr. Technology Service Specialist will assist with UAT and Go-Live software launch and releases.  Responsibilities include hosting software demos to Executives, Business Stake Holders, End Users, and Contractors.

    Support -  The Sr. Technology Service Specialist will build rapport and elicit problem details and feedback from end users.  As a subject matter expert on Willdan’s technology products, this role is responsible  to assist end users with questions, concerns, and technical issues while promoting technology adoption.

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·        Oversee training curricula that includes web-based seminars, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more.  Gather feedback from trainees and develop a learning process while ensuring training material is up to date and relevant.

    ·        Review development release notes to keep up to date with all product enhancements and remain proficient and knowledgeable. Coordinate Train-The-Trainer sessions to expand and enhance training delivery for new releases.

    ·        Ensures training programs evolve to support the changing needs of the business, our employees, and our customers. This includes introducing or changing training methods and mediums to integrate with new technologies and learning practices.

    ·        Build and maintain working relationships with business process owners, subject matter experts (SMEs) to create,  review and edit training materials, facilitating the timely accomplishment of project deliverables.

    ·        Provide client / end user support and technical issue resolution (via on-site, telephone, email, remote desktop)

    • Monitor product feedback and partner with stakeholders and Technology Team to make improvements.

    ·        Assist in testing new software functionality prior to release.

    ·        Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    KEY COMPETENCIES:

    ·        Willingness to learn new tools, technologies and stays current with market trends

    ·        Ability to accept personal accountability and ownership for areas of responsibility.

    ·        Minor travel required

    ·        Ability to work across all levels in the organization.

     

    TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·        2 + years in remote and classroom training, product demo and presentations

    ·        Experience creating and editing instructional videos 

    ·        Experience with content development tools (ShareX and Vegas preferred)

    ·        Experience with LMS

    ·        Visual design and layout skills

    SOFTWARE LAUNCH AND SUPPORT QUALIFICATIONS:

    ·        5+  years of Software implementation, testing, and support

    ·        SQL a plus

    ·        Knowledge  of Energy Efficiency and Solutions a plus

    ·        Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
