    Job Description

    Responsible for recruiting and onboarding all new hires. Also assists the Human Resources Supervisor with departmental functions including training and development and employee communication/relations.

     

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    1. Recruiting:

      1. Responsible for reviewing applications, and interviewing all qualified applicants. Ensures fairness to all applicants and adherence to policies.
      2. Conduct all first interviews for non-exempt and exempt personnel.
      3. Administers the position approval process for new, replacement, changing of positions.
      4. Administers the internal job posting process.
      5. Participates in job, recruiting, college fairs/events.
      6. Refer candidates to Supervisors and Managers for interviews and work with personnel to fill open positions.
      7. Coordinates job offers to internal and external candidates.
      8. Oversee pre-employment testing/screening for new hire candidates.
      9. Oversee organization and scheduling of all new hire orientation.
      10. Coordinate and assist in relocating candidates to the area.
      11. Conducts New Hire Orientation (including policy and procedure training).
    2. Additional Duties:

      1. Assists with the development and maintenance of programs to promote high productivity and low turnover.
      2. Administer the unemployment claims.
      3. Maintain a presence in the mills.
      4. Attend Round Table Meetings when needed.
      5. General knowledge of all policies.
      6. Assist in conducting exit interviews with all employees that voluntarily terminate their employment and ensuring comments and an exit checklist get distributed to the HR Supervisor, HR Manager and all other necessary personnel.
      7. Maintains knowledge of all Federal and State Laws relative to employee relations ranging from recruiting and hiring through terminations. These include but are not limited to ERISA, COBRA, ADAA, EEOC, Fair Labor Laws and various others.
      8. Provides direction and feedback on projects the HR Administrative Support Assistant is working on for the HR Recruiter.
      9. Responsible scheduling training programs for all Leads and Supervisors and any other employees that require training assistance.
      10. Oversees the tuition reimbursement program.

     

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS

     

    1. BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN HUMAN RESOURCES OR RELATED.

    2. 5 OR MORE YEARS OF HR EXPERIENCE.
