eeking an Experienced Administrative Professional for a Local Flower Shop!

Are you organized, enthusiastic, efficient, and professional? Do you love flowers, or better yet, have experience working in a busy retail shop? We're looking for the right person to "keep the trains running on time" at our bustling retail floral fulfillment center in Fair Oaks. Here's what an average day looks like for the Floral Office Assistant/ Wire Service Associate at William Paul Floral Design:

• Accept, process and print incoming wire service floral orders using multiple order platforms and distribute to our multiple locations.
• Answer phone calls from our network of floral partners to assist with questions regarding deliveries, rejections, cancellations, etc.
• Keep track of delivery zones, minimums, add-on products, and inventory to ensure fulfillment of orders.
• Maintain an orderly and organized desk so nothing is left hanging at the end of the day.
• Communicate with floral designers and drivers to resolve any issues as they arise.
• Assist logistics manager at routing drivers and perform routine clerical tasks for bookkeeper and manager, as needed.
• Answer phones, take orders, wait on customers, help in general with shop work. Potentially learn floral design.

A successful candidate will:

• Have experience communicating with coworkers, customers and vendors/ partners over the phone, over email in a polite and professional manner.
• Be comfortable with sitting at a station for much of the day and prefer doing tasks that others might find tedious.
• Be organized and motivated to learn about new technologies, quickly adapt and improve processes. We need a self-starter.
• Ideally, have worked in a retail flower shop in a sales, administrative, or wire service capacity.
• Be available to work overtime during flower holidays, such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas Eve, etc.

Schedule:

• This position will have variable hours, depending upon the needs of the shop- ie Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, etc, will cause an increase in hours. OPEN availability is a must- including evenings, weekends, holidays & daytime shop hours.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
