    GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION

    The Commercial Loan Review Analyst will work in the Consulting Department in support of a contract with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to perform Lender Oversight Reviews. The Commercial Loan Review Analyst works on a team with other analysts responsible for commercial loan file review activities of various financial institutions in support of SBA’s 7(a) Guaranteed Loan Program.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform commercial loan file reviews in accordance with standard due diligence techniques to determine compliance with SBA and other regulatory requirements
    • Document the results of loan file reviews
    • Enter loan review results into a proprietary software program

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 or more years of experience reviewing commercial loan activities in accordance with standard due diligence techniques at regulatory agencies, financial institutions, or similar organizations
    • Knowledge of SBA’s 7(a) Loan Program Requirements regarding the loan application, underwriting, closing, servicing, liquidation and litigation; and commercial lending and credit processes
    • Ability to analyze financial information and calculate key indicators
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and e-mail applications
    • Organized individual with excellent attention to detail
    • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
    • Prior SBA experience a plus

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor’s degree a plus

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    The Commercial Loan Review Analyst must successfully complete a background check and obtain an SBA security clearance.

    • FLSA CLASS: Salary- Exempt
    • STATUS: Full Time - Regular
    • WORK WEEK:  Monday – Friday, 8 hours a day, some evening and weekend hours may be required in order to fulfill client expectations and deliverables.  
    • REPORTS TO: Senior Financial Analyst
    • LOCATION: Washington, DC 
    • AUTHORIZATION: U.S. Citizenship Required
    • CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a security clearance
