Description
Williams Contracting is seeking a traveling site foreman for our projects in the childcare industry. Projects include but are not necessarily limited to: the installation of safety barriers to protect the children, staff and facility; light site drainage; and possibly play equipment installation. Interested candidates should possess the following skills:
Responsibilities
- Ability read plans and perform layout.
- Forward thinking to manage a crew to complete projects on time.
- Complete necessary daily and weekly reporting. Clearly reports progress and issues to the Project Manager.
- Be the on-site representative for the Company and communicates with the staff at each facility in a professional manner.
- Ability to operate light “Ditch Witch”-type of equipment for auger/concrete work.
- Adhere to all health and safety precautions
- Perform all carpenter skills
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in working with construction crews
- Excellent understanding of managing installation and construction
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Good knowledge of English
- Good understanding of basic math
- Good physical condition and endurance
- Clean driving record and background check
- High school diploma

- Work outdoors/indoors, subject to changing conditions and temperatures, sometimes exceeding 90 degrees
- Driving a vehicle to conduct work
- Regular exposures to fumes, dust, odors and loud noises
