    THE OPPORTUNITY

    This is a leadership position on the Codes & Automation team within the Codes and Methods Development Department. This team creates and maintains software applications including computational codes and automation tools. In addition, this team manages the capital equipment on which software applications are maintained. This team works closely with Engineering application teams to increase code functionality and efficiency.

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FRAMATOME

    You will be responsible for leading a team of 10 – 12 individuals who create new or revise existing engineering codes and maintaining the high-performance Linux cluster that they run on. Typical assignments include:

    • Assigning tasks to group members
    • Supervising workflow to ensure deliverables are high quality, on time, and within budget
    • Ensuring working level compliance with procedures, guidelines, standards, and design control process
    • Providing technical oversight of group work products, facilitating resolution of technical issues
    • Reporting progress up to management and identifying impediments and issues
    • Facilitating professional growth and development of group members
    • Developing and overseeing the execution of a capital plan for high-performance computing
    • Working on special projects, as directed

    Required Skills Required Experience

    You are familiar with software development and pressurized water reactors and are interested in organizational and technical leadership. You display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships. You have developed excellent written and oral communication skills and have a passion for problem solving.

    WHAT YOU’VE ACCOMPLISHED

    You will have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for 5 or more years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

     

     

    OUR TOTAL REWARDS PACKAGE

    The range of base salary for the position is between $91,000 - $124,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, Google, and Ellucian experience preferred
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and to be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Positive attitude and ability to provide superior customer service in a fast-paced environment
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals
    • Knowledge of purchasing accounts payable, and/or general accounting preferred
    • A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience is required and/or 2-3 years of a college education is preferred
