    JOB SUMMARY:

    Performs project management activities for successful implementation and completion of quality improvement projects in various delivery settings. Works with team in the delivery of all contract requirements, maintaining knowledge of the QI activities assigned to the team. Member of an interdisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, analysts, and scientists. May work on any contract for which training has been provided.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintains a working clinical knowledge of all assigned projects, managed care processes, and regulatory issues.
    • Meets all contract deliverable deadlines, both internal and external.
    • Develops and keeps current database of contacts at assigned facilities.
    • Coordinates meetings of all types, internal and external, and participates on committees as assigned.
    • Conducts presentations as assigned.
    • Interacts with customers on-site and by phone, explaining QI initiatives, providing training, and identifying issues that should be referred for resolution.
    • Prepares and maintains materials and information for provider use in QI initiatives.
    • Works with the managed care team to plan and develop strategies to meet contract objectives.
    • Monitors and documents progress of assigned facilities.
    • Follows contract specific procedures and policies in conducting activities.
    • Attends professional and/or trade association meetings/conferences as assigned.
    • Identifies opportunities to improve processes and procedures.
    • Within contract constraints and guidelines, have some ability to interpret guidelines and choose from alternative courses of action.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    Associate's degree (A. A.), preferably in the health related field and at least two years of quality improvement experience.
