    • Certifiable to NDE Level III in ultrasonic testing and at least Level II in two additional NDE methods
    • Experience with performing NDE related activities at nuclear power generating stations
    • Expert knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in ultrasonic testing
    • Working knowledge of ASME Code
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with peers, management and customers

    • Technical certifications required: NDE Technician IV requirements met; NDE Technician: Must record all experience gained, be LVL 2 in at least 2 disciplines and LVL III in 1 discipline; Leadership: Must attend at least one leadership course per year, fill a leadership role and have GEN712.0 Framatome Nuclear Services Oral Board.
    • The ideal candidate is a driven, positive and highly innovative individual with demonstrated technical depth in the application of NDE with the ability to identify, clearly communicate and execute strategic research and development activities.
    • Possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
      • Experience with developing UT scan plans and coverage calculations
      • Solid understanding of ultrasonic phased array techniques
      • Ability to generate phased array focal laws and develop UT system setup files per specific procedural requirements
      • Experience with flaw evaluations and acceptance calculations per ASME Section XI requirements
      • Experience with automated/encoded UT techniques and data analysis

    This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Ultrasonic Testing NDE Technician in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the NDE (Non Destructive Examinations) Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include planning and execution of examinations and reporting to support the NDE product line. The NDE Advanced Technician position performs advanced assembly and/or installation of electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical controls and systems based on engineering designs and drawings. Work is performed according to instructions and established procedures and/or guidelines and autonomy is expected. Acts as a lead and supervises trainees and less experienced technicians. May be required to work around radioactive and/or corrosive chemicals and to wear appropriate protective equipment.

    • Support and conduct nondestructive examination (NDE) inspections.
    • Develop, implement and maintain in-service inspection, testing and maintenance programs.
    • Inspect, repair and rebuild mechanical and/or electrical equipment and associated structures.
    • Ensure that industrial and radiation safety requirements are followed.
    • Analyze equipment breakdowns and determine the proper corrective action, and direct repairs.
    • Plan work schedules to accomplish required work and, when required, assign priorities.
    • Research, interpret and explain inspection results.
    • Maintain documentation to meet customer obligations and ensure proper test methodologies are in place.
    • Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to less experienced NDE Technicians.
    • Comply with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.
    • Work flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.
    • May require extensive travel to a variety of regional and remote job sites.
    • Will require unescorted nuclear site access.

    Your Total Rewards Package

    The range of base salary for the position is between $93,000 - $122,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.

    The Team Members We're Looking For

    Trimmers

    Trimmers are key to bringing the raw products in and processing them for sanitation and packaging. They can work quickly and accurately and are skilled in attention to detail – this is what helps meet daily production goals.

    As a Trimmer you’d be receiving raw materials from daily deliveries and loading them onto the conveyor system and inspecting them for quality or safety issues. These are some of the things you’d do during the course of the day:

    • Learn and perform all of the functions of the position assigned following all company rules and standards

    • Trim, load, sort and inspect raw vegetables according to specifications and based on trimming and processing applications

    • Conduct visual inspection of raw materials, identifying and reporting any quality or safety issues while working through the trimming, product spreading, and rework functions

    • Conduct visual inspection of raw materials, identifying and reporting any quality or safety issues while working through the packing process, product spreading, and rework functions

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Packers play a key part in getting the finished products ready for distribution. They can work quickly and accurately and are skilled in attention to detail – this is what helps meet daily production goals.

    As a Packer, you’re taking the sorted and sanitized raw materials and working to help package the final products. It’s really fast-paced and really important that you help maintain the pace of production by keeping up with your team mates that are getting product to you. These are some of the things you’d do during the course of the day:

    • Learn and perform all of the functions of the position assigned following all company rules and standards.

    • Remove bags or trays of salad from conveyor and place into boxes.

    • Check for foreign objects, accurate bag codes and expiration dates.

    • Conduct visual inspection of raw materials, identifying and reporting any quality or safety issues while working through the packing process, product spreading, and rework functions.

    • Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., stacking boxes of salad on skids, printing and applying labels, move from one assigned work area to another throughout the day as assigned).
