Under general supervision, responsible for business partnering, decision support, financial modeling and analysis, insightful guidance, and completing moderate financial analysis that impacts organizational objectives.
Essential Functions
- Analyzes and interprets financial data and metrics; prepares summaries of findings and recommendations.
- Leads or assists with the preparation and maintenance of department and organization-wide tasks, including budget.
- Supports the annual financial planning and analysis effort, forecasting various metrics for financial risks and opportunities, and identify variances against budgets.
- Supports the preparation and maintenance of simple financial models, including IBNR and rate development.
- Supports financial modeling, forecasting and sensitivity analysis.
- Proactively identifies potential data and analytical needs to support management and performance monitoring requirements.
- Assists in identifying and developing appropriate performance measurement tools.
- Collaborates with external and internal stakeholders to maintain the validity and integrity of data sources.
- Sets up and maintains electronic and hard copy support files and systems.

Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Accounting or Mathematics; and
- At least two years financial analysis in healthcare, Medi-Cal and/or managed care finance.
