  • Responsibilities

    The Director, Financial Controls is responsible for developing and overseeing the financial functions of our Service Organization. This position will develop and oversee a team of experts that will be responsible for account level reconciliation, 1099 processing, and variable fund operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Create internal controls, standard operating procedures and mechanisms for monitoring and assessing risk as it relates to account reconciliation, 1099 processing, and fund operations.
    • Analyzes and understands drivers behind analytics and variance analysis, including assisting in remediating issues in a timely manner, addressing any data and/or accounting policy inconsistencies by working across all stakeholders including third-party providers.
    • Understands general ledger workflow for all entities and implements best practices to optimize the monthly close process including automation, streamlining, and management-level control reports.
    • Act as primary contact with external & internal stakeholders to resolve issues centered around account reconciliation, 1099 Processing, and fund operations
    • Play an important role in quality control and ensure the implementation/adherence to policies and procedures for fund administration
    • Understand and execute on the business strategy with the ability to pivot as needed.
    • Demonstrates courage to challenge the status quo and have courageous dialogue in support of the organization’s strategy
    • Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures

    Required Experience

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Economics, or Finance Required

    Experience

    • 7-10 Years Financial services industry experience
    • FINRA Series 6 preferred but not required

    Base Salary - $130,000 - $150,000
