    TRI POINTE ASSURANCE IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, DETAIL-ORIENTATED, PROBLEM-SOLVING INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS AN ESCROW OFFICER IN OUR SCOTTSDALE OFFICE.

     

     

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Escrow Officer is responsible for establishing and overseeing efficient closing/settlement services, development of internal and external customer relationships. Processing escrow documents in accordance with established policies and procedures. Acts as a neutral third-party between buyers and sellers during a real estate sale, managing funds and processing real estate transactions.

      

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Completes real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing titles; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents.
    • Determines escrow requirements by studying and clarifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions.
    • Obtains clear title by ordering title reports; resolving title defects; satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
    • Establishes escrow account by depositing funds; maintaining records.
    • Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents.
    • Completes calculations by prorating taxes and interest.
    • Completes closing transaction documents by assembling documents; reviewing papers with parties; explaining provisions and procedures; answering questions; checking documents for completeness and accuracy; obtaining signatures.
    • Completes closing by recording and filing documents; preparing and distributing final closing statements and title.
    • Prepares Closing Disclosure or HUD by utilizing lender instructions; Closes escrow account by balancing all funds.
    • Complies with regulatory requirements by adhering, and enforcing adherence, to requirements

     

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience performing escrow and title duties
    • Notary required.
    • Ability to type 40+ WPM
    • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and title software applications. FAST preferred
    • Specialize in RESPA with understanding of company's underwriting guidelines
    • Understanding of title and settlement rules and regulations
    • Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills
    • Knowledge of real estate law and title escrow curative procedures

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    The ideal candidate would be experienced in evaluating financial and operational trends, data analysis, data reconciliation, and visualization. In addition, the candidate should be capable of navigating large data sets to identify trends of underlying drivers.  This position will require the ability to balance priorities, often shifting priorities, in a challenging and complex environment. S/he will be reliable team player, have a sense of initiative and eagerness to learn and have strong communication skills. 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field required; Masters preferred. Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
    • Two to five years of financial and/or budgeting experience
    • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and the ability to extract information
    • Must possess analytical and problem solving skills, ability to review own work for accuracy, as well as the ability to coordinate the work of others and communicate effectively with all levels of management, inside and outside of Financial Services
    • Must possess strong skills in the use of computers, spreadsheets, and database software
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge of and experience in implementing Business Intelligence concepts and experience in building robust dashboards to support organization decision support
    • Demonstrated commitment to quality & accuracy; looks for ways to improve & promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality
    • Excellent customer service interpersonal skills ability to develop & maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Experience with Business Intelligence and visualization tools (Crystal, Tableau, SQL) and proven ability to use tools to guide decision making preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Business intelligence tools
