  • Responsibilities

    The Worker’s Compensation Specialist is responsible for solving problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully; and developing solutions.  Duties include collecting all necessary information from centers in order to submit claims, managing process to submit claims to third party vendor, management of accounts receivable and posting of payments.

    • Models behaviors related to CareSpot’s CARE values (compassion, authentic, respect, empower)
    • Responds to requests for information in a timely manner
    • Manages billing processes with third party vendor
    • Responds to requests for service and assistance and met commitments in a timely manner
    • Works with Center Manager to ensure consisitency in process for submission of required documentation for billing worker’s compensation claims
    • Follows processes to submit accurate documentation and claims to third party vendor for payment
    • Coordinates account receivable activities with third party vendor, manages AR balances
    • Posts payments
    • Performs other duties as assigned

     

     

    Required Skills

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    EDUCATION: 

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Billing and Coding certificate or 1 year of billing experience within a healthcare facility or insurance company

     

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience

     ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Ability to relay information in a positive format
    • Ability to work efficiently in a team or solo environment
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment
    • Proficient with practice management software and overall knowledge of MS Office
    • Process Oriented
    • Detail Oriented
