    General Summary:

    COLSA is seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Communications Manager to lead our communications team and drive the development and implementation of internal and external communication strategies. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and conveying our brand message, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and promoting our vision and values.

    *Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)

    • Oversee and manage the Corporate Communications Team.
    • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive external and internal communication strategies that align with our organization's vision, strategy, and values, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all channels.
    • Direct, participate in, and coordinate internal and external communications activities, including maintaining and developing communications plans, social media, print and electronic materials, media activities, and outreach and education.
    • Collaborate closely with executive management to devise effective communication procedures and policies that foster transparency, engagement, and trust.
    • Prepare, edit, and review compelling communication documents and materials tailored for various audiences, such as applicants, employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide visionary leadership to creative staff and communications vendors, ensuring the highest quality of work and adherence to brand guidelines.
    • Consult with internal departments to develop content that effectively promotes our message, products, and initiatives, while ensuring accuracy and alignment with our corporate identity.
    • Execute specific external communications activities such as industry events and tradeshows.
    • Oversee and execute monthly newsletters for internal distribution.
    • Work closely with key business representatives to develop and implement creative and effective communications campaigns.

    • Plan, Coordinate, and Executing trade shows, outreach activities etc.
    • Manage COLSA’s Intern and Young Professional (YoPro) Program
    • Identify and develop core capability positioning and messaging that uniquely differentiates COLSA within the market and communicate benefits clearly to customers, highlighting our competitive advantage.
    • Engage with Business Development, Talent Acquisition, and Growth teams to understand and anticipate customer needs, competitive offerings and positions, market trends, and competitive strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
    • Leads the development and implementation of the organization’s external and internal communication strategies, including marketing, general communications and employee-focused communications, in line with the organization’s vision, strategy and values.*
    • Consults with executive management to develop effective communication procedures and policies*
    • Prepares, edits, and/or reviews communication documents and materials for interacting with applicants, employees, customers, and other varied key audiences*

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in communications, public relations, marketing, or a relevant area.
    • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven experience in corporate communications, with prior supervisory experience being preferred. Your track record should reflect successful execution of communication strategies and campaigns.
    • Experience working with WordPress.
    • Exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
    • Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
    • Strong proficiency in desktop applications and utilizing social media platforms, leveraging digital channels to amplify our brand presence and engagement.
    • U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Advanced degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field, further demonstrating your commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
    • Proven success in crisis communications, reputation management, and navigating complex issues with agility and composure.
    • Expertise in leveraging data and analytics to measure the impact of communication efforts, enabling data-driven decision-making.
    • Previous experience in the aerospace, defense, or technology industry, providing you with a valuable perspective on our business context and challenges.

    • Candidates must be capable of working on multiple projects in a dynamic team-oriented environment
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
    • Applicant must have a general understanding of design and plan preparation, and various applicable traffic engineering software packages. Must be proficient in MS Office.
