  • Responsibilities

     

    The Security Specialist III (Security Escort) will ensure that necessary physical security standards are maintained while persons not cleared visit secure areas of the office suites. This is a regular part-time position.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Verify that visitors to the Principle have been properly processed and issued necessary identification badges and that visitors properly display identification badges at all times
    • Obtain visitor’s credentials (badges, forms, etc) as visitors exit the area or building
    • Remaining with visiting officials at all times while maintaining visual contact until the excused by the host office
    • Prevent visitors from accessing areas not authorized.
    • Ensure visitors are not carrying, or do not use, items that prohibited in a secure area
    • Maintain acute awareness of possible counter-intelligence or terrorism activities
    • Provide construction surveillance services when necessary
    • Setup/breakdown Treaty Room for camera sprays, treaty signing, swearing-in, and/or retirement ceremonies
    • Serve as backup to the other security socialists as needed

    Required Skills

     

    • US citizen with a valid US passport and possess or obtain/maintain a minimum a TS/SCI clearance
    • Minimum experience in area of physical security standards 7- 10 years
    • Construction Surveillance Technician/Cleared American Guard Training (CST)
    • Must be able to stand for long periods
    • Positive and responsive attitude
    • Team oriented in a high-profile high stress work environment
    • Excellent communications skills

     

    Preferred:

     

    • BS / BA degree
