  • Responsibilities

    Applies knowledge of the principles, concepts, and techniques of cybersecurity to produce targeted S&TI products to describe foreign cyber capabilities to target US computer networks and weapon systems.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Produce written all-source assessments based on science and technology analysis of cyber threats to US systems, and provide tailored cyber threat assessments of US Army systems based on the most current intelligence available specific to the technologies utilized in current and future systems.
    • Provide tailored assessments of specific foreign threat cyber capabilities including forecasts for future capabilities, and drive collection to provide the specific technical data required to assess threat cyber capabilities.
    • Continually interface with and provide briefings to customers needing threat cyber science and technology analysis and discussion about their specific technical issues.
    • Specifically includes ability to apply knowledge of people, processes, and technology to understand cyber threats to US systems.
    • Identifies customer requirements, Intelligence Community (IC) priorities, intelligence gaps, collection opportunities, and new technology or system developments to plan analytical products.
    • This analysis requires a strong working knowledge of the cyber-kill chain, cyber-threat vectors and typical malware and threat actor behavior (TTPs) and ability to identify cybersecurity issues, configurations and incidents across a wide range of systems, devices, and computing environments.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or directly related field of study.

    • Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of education requirement at the discretion/approval of government customer.

    One of the following active certifications: Security+ CE, Network+ CE, CSSLP, CISSP, ISSEP, CASP, CAP, GSLC, or CISM

    Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Active TS/SCI Clearance

    Minimum of 7 years of work related experience to include experience in one or more of the following areas:

    • Network device and configuration technology
    • Protocols
    • Cloud
    • Risk management
    • Technical threats (malware, zero day, application, wireless),
    • Vulnerabilities (penetration testing, fuzzing, secure coding, device encryption, physical and logical layers),
    • Operating systems (including Windows, Linux, QNX, and RTOS)
    • Virtualization
    •  Data protection
    • Intrusion detection
    • Signature detection
    •  Incident response/recovery
    • Access control
    • Authentication
    • Cryptography
    • Digital forensics,
    • Experience in researching, creating, developing, and delivering professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Military and tactical experience, such as foreign doctrine, tactical employment of systems, or supervision of such systems and tactics

    • Ability to handle large projects and work independently on job site.
    • Ability to monitor several types of work activity and record daily contractor work activities.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both written and orally and coordinate with the owner and contractor.
    • Disciplined individual who maintains accurate, timely and descriptive records of daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress.
