    The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring that the bridge is inspected and that the inspection reports is prepared in conformance with the requirements per NYSDOT Specification.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead inspection team and coordinate teams and equipment
    • Prepare in-office support for field inspection
    • Perform field measurements, evaluate existing conditions and document finding in the field
    • Writing the technical inspection reports
    • Preparation of analysis and ratings for the structure in question.
    • Perform calculations including ratings
    • Development of recommended construction documents for repairs of field condition requiring interim repair (i.e. flagged conditions)

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • New York State PE License
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
    • FHWA/NHI or NYSDOT Bridge Inspection Certification
    • At least 3 years of bridge experience in design, construction, inspection or other bridge engineering related work
    • Active driver’s license
    • Client requested certifications preferred

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    Work is performed in the field. Ability to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, shoveling, and lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs as needed. Work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Registered or Certified Medical Assistant preferred
    • BLS Certification preferred
