Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking an Engineer in Training with 0 to 4 years’ experience in general Civil engineering to support our municipal services engineering team in our Salt Lake City, UT office. The position will require working closely with professional engineers to complete projects on-time and budget. The position will require completion of engineering calculations, technical writing for reports and specification preparation for a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects, including roadway improvements, drainage and flood control projects, water distribution systems, and sanitary sewer improvements.  Strong communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others in various design disciplines is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Support field investigations or assessments.
• Perform design engineering calculations.
• Assist in the design of various types of municipal infrastructure.
• Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Participate with the writing and the production of project reports.
• Work under the direct guidance and mentorship of senior engineers.

Required Skills Required Experience

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resource Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited college or university.
• EIT Certification (i.e., passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam).
• 0-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction plan production, design calculations, and/or technical writing.
• Knowledge in the use of Autodesk (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D) or Bentley (e.g., Microstation, InRoads) design platforms is a plus.
• Geographical Information Systems (GIS) working experience is a plus.

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $58,000 - $98,000
