Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a registered civil engineer with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry to be a Practice Leader for sustainable design of municipal water resource infrastructure projects.  The Practice Leader will lead the technical delivery, client management and business development, and personnel elements of the rapidly growing water resource and H&H team in Denver.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Provide technical direction and supervision to licensed and non-licensed engineers, designers, and other production personnel who collectively range widely in experience.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff as necessary to manage specific H&H engineering tasks within larger complex projects.
• Be familiar with engineering studies, reports, and design requirements needed to complete projects throughout Colorado.
• Analysis and design of H&H water systems such as water quality facilities, storm water collection and conveyance systems, H&H modeling, site drainage reports, and drainage master planning.
• Lead the marketing and business development efforts for the H&H team.
• Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams of geomorphologists, biologists, planners, emergency managers, and additional hydraulic and water resources engineers.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal preparation efforts.

Required Experience

• Experience with Colorado Municipal clients preferred.
• BSCE and MSCE preferred or related curriculum.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in CO.
• A minimum of 12 years’ experience of increasingly responsible, professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water resource related projects.
• Strong background in surface water hydraulics and hydrology as well as applying this technical knowledge to address client needs, meet deliverables, and train junior staff.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
