POSITION SUMMARY:  JMT’s York Office is seeking a motivated intern to assist their growing Natural and Cultural Resources Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for various environmental tasks and projects to enhance their experience in real world applications utilizing their education.  SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enter data into systems
• Make edits and updates to existing engineering drawings and projects
• Assist with the coordination of new small-scale projects
• Assemble data and research
• Assist with administrative duties
• Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and fundamentals
• Assist with the development and preparation of reports
• Evaluate equipment and material
• Maintain accurate and current project documentation
• Ability to assist with identified field work including lifting up to 25 lbs.

Required Experience

• Full time Environmental Science/Biologist student
• Relevant coursework in environmental science/biology preferred
• Previous internship experience a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting. Field work will be an important part of the position and can range from on-site meetings to out of town field visits in varying locations and climates.
