  • Responsibilities

    The job requires project management and design experience with a background in Aviation and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems, ability to manage and lead project teams both directly and indirectly, effectively communicate commercial and technical concepts with customers.

    *Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions)

    • Work directly with the Uncrewed Systems (UCS) Operational Vice President and lead the creation of additional UCS solutions that meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance goals defined by the customer and corporate leadership.
    • Manage projects by following Project Management Process and AS9100 requirements
    • Analyze operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system utilizing technical and/or professional expertise and identifies needs/gaps for optimized service offerings.
    • Manage risk using various project management tools and internally developed tools
    • Understanding of customer requirements, applications, products, manufacturing process
    • Responsible for the overall management of a prime contract or subcontract
    • Coordinate technical and commercial reviews as needed to ensure project success
    • Ensure commitments to all project deliverables are completed and on time
    • Ensure quality and delivery requirements are captured, communicated and completed
    • Facilitate regular meetings (including kick-off meeting) with project stake holders to maintain communication, project status
    • Regularly update project tracking and project status documents
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at any one time
    • Work with cross functional groups to deliver to project commitments
    • Responsible for ensuring the management of contract budgets (excluding indirect budgets)
    • Responsible for managing the performance of personnel assigned to the contract
    • Responsible for ensuring that staffing, direct charge resources, equipment, etc., are adequate for successful completion of the contract
    • Responsible for the contract execution and growth
    • Responsible for insuring customer satisfaction
    • Assist in proposal preparation and leads proposals for rebid of contract
    • Responsible for compliance with all corporate policies and procedures

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
    • Minimum of 15 years program related experience in related areas with at least 10 years functional or program management experience
    • Must have experience with AS9100 requirements
    • Background in aviation and uncrewed aircraft systems
    • Demonstrated experience with proposal preperation and rebid of contracts
    • Strong proficiency in using desktop application
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • US Citizenship required; Secret DoD security Clearance required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters degree in a related field
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
    • Awareness of new and emerging UCS technology, trends and tools in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Management, Quantum Computing, and others
