    The Security Specialist will act as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort. Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Oversees contractor execution of the contract requirements and manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources. Primary focus will be managing security in their facility while focusing on updating security plans, procedures, and instructions. FSO will perform access control responsibilities including managing badges, access cards, and visit requests, and have experience using JPAS and the SCI/SAP Program.

    Required Skills

    • Completion of FSO Possessing Curricula through the Center for Development of Security Excellence a plus, required shortly upon hire
    • Experience with administering Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) safety requirements is a plus
    • Thorough knowledge of JPAS, e-QIP, SWFT, NISS, DISS, DIAS
    • Ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures
    • Ability to manage complex situations with various interested parties
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • Thorough knowledge of the NISPOM
    • Ability to influence people and processes in remote geographies

    Required Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience and a Bachelor's Degree. An Associate's Degree and 4 years or 6 additional years may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
    • Experience managing a team
    • Experience with DSS assessments
    • Experience with COMSEC material and audits is a plus
  • Qualifications
