    Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking an Engineer in Training with 0 to 3 years’ experience in general Civil engineering to support our municipal services engineering team in our Kansas City, MO office. The position will require working closely with professional engineers to complete projects on-time and budget. The position will require completion of engineering calculations, technical writing for reports and specification preparation for a wide variety of municipal infrastructure projects.  Strong communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others in various design disciplines is a must.

    Required Skills

     

    • Although expected to work independently, this individual must be able to interact well with other team members within the Wilson & Company team.
    • Must have obtained a minimum of a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.
    • High degree of interpersonal and communication skills is necessary.
    • Proven teamwork and problem solving skills
    • Excellent work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles.
    • Champion the company’s values: Shared Ownership, Collaboration, Intensity, Discipline, and positive energy in the day-to-day operations to create a professional and productive workplace.
    • Self-Starter with strong problem solving skills

    Required Experience

     

    • Required to have to have a minimum of 0-3 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably focused on water resource engineering and design knowledge.
    • Ability and desire to obtain a Professional Engineering license following completion of required work experience.
    • Familiarity with plan production, design calculations, and technical report writing. 
    • Primary focus will be municipal infrastructure including roadway, drainage, water, and sewer design
