Traffic Engineering Intern Tracking Code 8100-18-039 Job Description Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers and Architects, is currently seeking a Part-Time Traffic Engineering Intern for our Kansas City, MO office. This person will work under the direction of a Senior Traffic Engineer as part of our transportation planning and design team, primarily serving state and local agency clients. We are interested in candidates that are eager to learn and assist with a variety of projects to gain experience in traffic operations, travel demand modeling, traffic simulation, GIS data development and summarization, and report documentation. Roadway, intersection and/or traffic signal design experience is a plus. The candidate should have 0 to 2 years of experience. Job Responsibilities: Assessment of traffic data, transportation data, and policies Use of Microsoft Office products, travel demand models, traffic operations/simulation software and GIS (TransCAD, Synchro, VISSIM, TransModeler, Emme2, Cube, ArcGIS) Written reporting of assessment results Field investigations and data collection Required Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong technical skills with experience with related software packages Required Experience Working towards a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field Working knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD drafting programs preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Word and Excel About Us: Wilson & Company has a rich history in planning and design, and the right candidate will become part of our bright future.
