ScaleReady is a Joint Venture formed by Bio-Techne, Fresenius Kabi, and Wilson Wolf. Combining selected offerings from the three partners, the ScaleReady cell therapy manufacturing platform consists of tools and technologies for cell culture, cell activation, gene editing, and cell processing.
Our mission is to help realize the potential of cell and gene therapies by transforming the way T cells are manufactured. Our proven platform features G-RexTM, a single-use static bioreactor that dramatically simplifies workflows while consistently delivering higher cell quality and throughput in significantly less space. The ScaleReady platform is flexible, able to generate small and large cell doses, and is easily optimized for centralized or de-centralized manufacturing. Our goal is to make the prospect of T cell therapy practical and viable not just for the hundreds, but for the hundreds of thousands of patients.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Field Application Specialist (FAS) provides customized, technical support to potential and current ScaleReady customers. The FAS works hand-in-hand with a Technical Account Manager (TAM) responsible for the same accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as a trusted customer resource for technical information on the ScaleReady platform and the cell therapy field
- Carries out the strategic plan developed by the TAM to grow each account
- Develops product training materials and facilitates in-person and virtual training sessions with customers
- Deeply understands each customer's manufacturing process
- Asks questions to understand the rationale behind customers' manufacturing process instrument and reagent choices and challenges customers to consider alternatives, highlighting the ScaleReady portfolio
- Meticulously documents account learnings and progress
- Works closely with customers to design experiments, write detailed protocols, troubleshoot issues, and analyze data
- Assembles and presents data overviews during regular meetings with each customer and TAM
- Maintains constant awareness of current trends in the cell therapy field and evolving customer requirements
- Supports and assists customers looking to publish data from studies involving ScaleReady products
- Collaborates with marketing team to develop marketing materials and messages
- Participates in conferences to represent the ScaleReady portfolio, make new customer connections, foster existing relationships, and increase knowledge of the cell and gene therapy field
- Researches and understands competitive and complementary technologies in the cell therapy field
- Seeks out and reads scientific publications from the cell and gene therapy field
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in biology or scientific research field preferred
- 3 + years' experience
- Cell culture experience required
- Experience working in a cell therapy process development lab or delivering application support in the cell therapy field preferred.
- Excellent general and technical (e.g., protocols) writing skills.
- Willingness to travel 50%. Comfortable with public speaking
- Operate with a sense of urgency
- Capable of delivering White Glove customer service to both internal and external customers
- Must be diligent and pay attention to detail
- Be creative and resourceful
